HOW I CAN HELP
My approach starts with creating a safe space to be seen, heard and understood --- especially when it feels like no one else does. Together, we identify what is causing the pain and target ways to help you feel better.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Using a combination of talk therapy and evidenced based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory and Mindfulness techniques --- you will develop tools and skills that help you make connections you did not see before. We work together to create change. Change that shifts old behavior patterns and self critical thoughts, that leave us not liking ourselves, to a sense of confidence and insight as you take your next step. In essence, unsticking the "stuckness".
I draw upon tools that support your understanding of how your brain chemistry influences your current experience, thinking patterns that trigger depression and anxiety, problem solving techniques to better manage conflict in close relationships, and ways to reduce stress and increase emotional understanding.
Ultimately, you get to discard the patterns, beliefs and thoughts that don't work and you bring forward what newly works.
